ATHENS - Connie Soloyanis, Greece's most active missing sock sleuth, display his 1500th consecutive match in the Bureau of Missing Socks' main office. Connie says his life long devotion to solving the problem of missing foot wear has been made easy by the Greeks who value their socks dearly and are more careful when both washing and storing them. BUREAUS' OLDEST AGENT
NEW YORK CITY - Eddie Jaffe, The Bureau of Missing Socks' oldest operative at Hooters. Eddie found his first sock in 1933 and is still searching for them after a long career as a top Broadway press agent and motion picture producer. A confident of many major stars and leaders of industry, Eddie recalls the days when Marlon Brando was his roommate. The actor used to wear Eddie's socks for weeks and then refold them and place them back in the bureau drawer. Eddie passed away two years ago. |
